This statememnt was made fifty years ago by the essayist and art historian,
Benno Reifenberg.
His comment referred to photographers and their artworks and also
holds true for the reader of illustrated photography volumes. Nowadays,
illustration by photography is almost omnipresent
and boost rapid consumption. (Rudolf-Gerd Lindemann) So, if you can,
take your time.

Fine
Art
We like to deal with the
search for human figure:
strong colors, hard lights and deep shadows,
as well as soft trasparences and the human body
as a landscape. Looking for the unexpected meaning...

and tendencies of last 50 years that are part of history of photography.
